I know a few people I'd like to stuff.
I have an urn with my gsd from 20 yrs ago. I've mostly had cats during my life, so he was special. I had him for 14 yrs. and got him from an old drunk. It would be wierd to see him everyday if he was stuffed.
No way! I think once the spirit of my pet has departed, what remains is the empty husk--and who wants the husk around when the essence of my pal has gone? No, let the spirit go, let it fly.
My husband was watching a taxidermy show the other day that did pets. I sat there absolutely shocked and couldn't believe people would do this. They basically showed most of the process, which was awful to see, and then at the end the finished product. It was so creepy, gross and weird. The owners were even weirder, when they came in to pick up their "babies". I mean what were they going to do with it when they got home, put it up on a shelf, on the floor to display?? SO weird.
Why not? I have already told my kids that when I die they are to taxidermy my body and stand me up in their living room. They can rotate, each of them gets me for 2.5 months of the year.
If they are going to taxidermy dad, why not a dog? Doesnt everyone want a dead dog in their living room?
Ugh. That's so unhealthy. How do you ever move forward in the grieving process with Fluffy right there in your living room?
