I love Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. They are such sweet dogs.
Golden Retrievers make me happy though too. There is something about them that makes me smile

I love all dogs no matter the breed but my heart has been stolen by my Cocker Spaniel and she cares not to give it back.
Whenever I am out and about and I see people with their dogs I always stop to pet them, especially Cocker Spaniels. Even if I've spotted a Cocker Spaniel across the street I'll run to pet it. I do look both ways, usually, but sometimes I am so excited I don't, but what a way to go - looking at a Cocker Spaniel as the bus hits me! I sound like an idiot I know, but I do so love dogs.

Doberman smartest and most loving breed I have ever owned. I have had a german shorthair, beagle, lab and several mutts. I am now with my 5th Doberman.

I would have to say the Doberman. Rebel is going on 10 months now and has been the smartest dog I have owned. Smart, loyal, personal and a natural guardian. I have had a lot of great dogs in the past but this breed has really impressed me.

Irish Wolfhound is my favorite. Very well behaved dogs, great temperament, great with kids and smaller dogs. (we have a 6 lb mutt that is my wolfhounds best friend)

plus i have had a lot of dogs, lot of cool ones, and nothing stops traffic like the wolfhound, only breed to call a great dane 'shorty'

Me too! I have had dogs all of my life, german shepherds and poodles mainly but the smartest and best was our mutt Susie. The sweetest, most obedient and smartest of them all. I loved every one of them but in our neighborhood in Chicago, they are still talking about Susie!

I love Maltese (is the plural Malteses? or maybe Malti? LOL!) and have a very sweet one.

If I got another dog I'd love to have a Havanese. They are adorable.

We have to stick with low-shedders due to my hub's allergies.
