These people spent $155,000 to clone their dog. Just think of how many other dogs could have been helped with this much money. I hate to see my pets die too but I think this is a mark of instability and fundamental lack of understanding of the cycle of life. What do you think?

I would probably spend some of the money on grief counseling which appears to be needed and adopt maybe another "golden" from a rescue group, an older one. I truly miss my most favorite dog of all time but I know that Duchess is gone and I have photos and memories and, as we all know, the clone would not be Duchess and more likely than not a diluted, unhealthy copy which would be nothing but heartbreaking.

Do these people actually think they are going to bring back an exact copy, personality and all of their dead dog? Nuts....

No way. I would donate most of that gazillion to help the animals who are still with us.

No, I would not clone my dog. That is just too weird. Not to mention in may look the same but that doesn't mean it is going to BE the same (think of identical twins, same DNA but can be total opposites.)

if i had that kind of money...
NO...it woudlnt be the same dog anyway, it would look like my dog...but life influences everything about everything so youd never get the exact same result.
Id rather take that money and put it to something more worthwhile.
