My grandpup, China, was diagnosed with Kidney failure February, 2012. The vet in FL said she would be gone by the summer. We brought her up to TN and the vet said she could last 2-4 years, we were elated. Unfortunately, my daughter said, in the last few days, China has alternated from dry diaper to having diarrhea and bloody stools (since Wednesday night), mostly in the morning. She is coming home to TN on Monday for an appointment with her vet. Is there anything you could suggest to make her comfortable? She is on Royal Canin for Kidneys. Please help. She is still drinking and eating. Also, at times, seems ok.

Others may chime in with advice but I have a question. How old is China?

Sad to say, China passed away Saturday afternoon. She was ready but will be missed.

Sorry to hear about China.I am sure she left many great memories behind that in time will put smiles on everyones faces.Kidney disease is a hard one as once they tip into actual failure it is difficult to save them.

I'm sorry for the temporary loss of your friend China. She will be waiting for you at the bridge

I lost my girl Angel (an American Eskimo) a few years back to kidney failure. My only regret is I didn't help her leave sooner than I did. I didn't do the right thing and was selfish. Her quality of life was poor in the last month and I should have put my feelings aside......
