News article.

Duke is in the driveway again.

The hulking gray pit bull barks, gnashes its teeth and charges -- as far as the chain around its neck will allow.

That was a good article. It was pretty accurate and stated the sad truth. I'm glad they opted with the breed ban and if people read the article they should understand that APBTs are not mean or vicious by nature. Poor breeding, overbreeding, neglect and improper raising creates these problems.

The recent case of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, who pleaded guilty last month to a felony charge of conspiracy stemming from dogfighting, has put a spotlight on American pit bull terriers. Metro Detroit also has recorded several recent high-profile arrests of people engaged in dogfighting, including nine men arrested last month in Inkster and 10 arrested two weeks ago in Detroit

Yet whenever I state this no one wants to hear it? It has brought to light big time negatives on the breed and their owners. Most people already think Pit Bulls are mean and their owners crazy, now they have even more reason to complain. Its not the dogs fault. Its not these other peoples fault, they just know what they see in the media about APBTs and their owners.

I didn't read the whole thing, but I did vote where they asked you if you thought pit bulls were companions, killers or you don't know. Of course I said companions!
