Has anybody dealt with this that could clue me on on how they handled it? The Golden in question is 10.5 yrs old.

The operation can be done with local an aesthesia or sedation. After taking out the blood mixed fluid the pinna has to be stitched with some stitches so that there is hardly any space between skin and ear cartilage where the fluid can accumulate again.
