My dogs love ice! Matter of a fact, if you go to the fridge, use the ice dispenser, they will come running and sit and wait for a piece.

Default Cooling Mats helped

My two dogs seem love ice also, but I don't use ice very often. If it is not very hot in room, I put two cooling mats under them when they want to sleep or take a nap, with the air-conditioners on at the same time. I think this kind of cooling method is better than that uses ice only. People need to take a bath every day in summer, so do puppies.

Bath every day?????

Dogs need the natural oils in their coats.

I bath once a month for the inside dogs.

Outside dogs........maybe once a year.

We just keep their bedding very clean.

sometimes ice from the automatic front door icemaker drops on the floor and the dogs like to scoot them around but i've never seen them try to eat it. we try to put excess ice in their water bowls, otherwise we have little pupples all over the hardwood floors from melted ice.

Hah our puppy loves ice too and will come running to the fridge if someone is getting ice. He scoots it around a bit and then chomps it up and eats it. I've tried putting some in his water dish but he coughs after drinking it so I think it's too cold for him.
