Some people who followed the thread on our aggravating attempt to adopt a puppy from an adoption group asked me to update on the puppy. Sorry I cannot find the old thread, but there he is. About 16 weeks I guess. Although I have no idea when this picture was taken. He does nto seem to have changed much other than a little taller and a whole lot fatter than he was. He went from scary skinny to a bit budgy, but the vet says he is a good weight. Seems fully recovered from Parvo, twice the weight he was and taller, but still cute. Still poops on the floor sometimes, but he has learned sit and lie down. He got a name (Teddy Bear ). He still cannot play with the big dog, but he has become best frieds with one of the "feral" cats outside. She sits by the door and waits for him to come out sometimes. I think he hs going to turn out more Elkhound than St. Bernard, but that is ok. I wonder whether he will stay so wonderfully soft.

Well there's one thing that's not going to change. He's ADORABLE!

How cute: the feral cat waiting for the puppy to come out? Sounds like this lucky little fella got himself a great home.

"Teddy Bear," whatever you may think of the name, does seem like an excellent fit for this particular dog. He looks just like one!

Thanks for the update, I was wondering this past weekend how things were going

Not that his name doesn't fit him, but I'm with you. I like to think outside of the box

Kids!

When we asked our four year old, what he wanted to name the dog, he said, "Rock Dog." So, his name becamse Rocky.

Teddy Bear will become Teddy, Bear, or just plain Ted.

I vote for Ted!

Or he could be Theo for Theodore, which is the name Teddy is a nickname.

We had a cat named Blue Moon. Not for thinking out of the box. My siblings and I were all disagreeing on the cat's name and my father said, "You can call it Blue Moon for all I care!"
