I loved McGovern and saw him frequently when I worked in D.C. and my work took me to The Hill. There are still some Senators and Reps who take their dogs to work. One is a beautiful Bichon. Can't remember the owner but remember the dog. thanks for posting this article. McGovern was a great American.

You're thinking of Senator Conrad's (ND) dog, Dakota. He is a beautiful dog. Last I heard Dakota was battling cancer. I hope the pup is doing okay.
