In light of the resent threads about culling puppies. I want to share this photo that my favorite rescue posted this AM. These are two homozygous Merle Aussies if I rememebr both are deaf and I think they may have vision issues too. They were adopted by a young family who was kind enough to take in two that were best buddies.

When I see families with young kids adopt these special dogs I think what a great thing to teach your child. As by adopting them and loving them that adorable little girls learns that it is OK to be different or to love some thing or some one that is different and hopefully that will lead towards tolerance of those that are different..people as well as animal. So to those that feel these dogs should have been killed as young puppies maybe they are allowed to survive for a reason as they do have job in teaching tolerance. My Kudos go to these parents I have seen other photos of this beautiful child with the dogs and I can see she does not care as she does not see deaf dogs she sees best friends that she loves just as we all see our " normal" ( if you can call any of them that) dogs. Love is blind!

I could not read the "culling" thread either. I agree with you Dashdog, these dogs can and do serve a greater purpose.

Beautiful child and beautiful dogs!!!
