I recieved a letter from AKC today. Seems LadyBugs Granddad on Dads side is Not her true gdad ... Oops! I already been told by AKC That All papers can be termanated. Including Awards Titles etc. Glad this happened Before i bred her.
Any one else have this happen?? I really pissed & thinking of a lawsuit. AKC is waiing on the breeder at this point.
Ladybugs breeder left me a message last nite. Beaus Breeder ...Ladys suposed dad.... Sent in the test for her other male she owned at the time. IF its him I woundering IF anyone else has been thru this & what happened? Who pays to re-reg all the pups & Dogs involved??
Yes it is the other male the breeder owned at the time!! So at least we know they are purebred paps. But wont know how much if any inbreeding or line breeding....sigh What a mess!
I just watched a special on DNA......I thought it was the finale word in things......that is not true.....A DNA test is not near as accurate as I thought.
I could not sit on a jury now and convict anyone on DNA alone.
So, you have plans to use your service dog as a puppy factory. She can't be much of a service dog if you can do just fine without her for 12 weeks or more. The whole point of a service dog is that they are necessary for the handicapped person. She's apparently not necessary to you.
If the DNA testing can pinpoint the sire, papers can be reworked and reissued with corrected information. All very expensive to the person who made the mistake, but it can be done.
What puppy factory? Yes she is a service dog. Fully trained. She will take over when Katie retires. Katie will be 8 yrs old end of April. Don't look like she will be retiring any time soon. But I won't be planning the actual litter til this is cleared up. I even have to clear up her CERT & OFA registrations. Add that her mom's DNA tests were just mailed today. Be 6 to 8 weeks I been told. Then another 6 to 8 weeks waiting on Lady DNA. This rate Lady will be 3 yrs old before she's bred..... UGH. I just keep wondering what else is going to go wrong. One of her sisters from her litter just had her 3rd litter! Stop worrying about Lady. She is fine.
BTW I also plan to show her in obedience... I know lots of people that show their SD... sheesh
