Someone posted this to my social media page today. I couldn't help but tear up. It reminded me so much of my great Dane/ Rhodesian ridgeback, Susie, when my oldest son was just a toddler..When she was just a pup she could look my son in the eye while he was in his high chair....Gentlest dog I ever knew.
I used to find my son, as a toddler lying next to her asleep on the living room rug, all played out...And she would have her legs out, as though hugging him and be looking at me as if to say...I got him...He's safe.
Every little kid should have a wonderful relationship w/ a pet. Miss you Susie!

Thanks to the little boy's Papa for sharing this online. It is precious.
