Ball, Kong, I throw them all. It's never enough for her though.

Unfortunately, our dogs prefer tennis balls. They ignore the Chuckit ball, that is, they'll pick it up and then drop it. I think they the sound the balls make when they chew on them, until they eventually pop them.

Duke is obsessed with balls, maybe because he no longer has his :0

we use the chuckit primarily, for the distance and for the non slobber factor. it works well for making snowballs to chuck too in the winter.

My dog is the EXACT opposite, he is obsessed with the rubber chuck-it balls and will completly ignore tennis balls when there is a rubber chuckit ball around! he lvoes to squish them in his mouth.

We did that too. Karma had never seen snow before, and it was fun watching her run and try to pounce on balls that had disappeared!

Oh yeah! That's a great pic, and that's the glow-in-the-dark Chuckit ball -- our favorite!

Toby came to us obsessed with balls while our Lucy could care less. Sometimes when I don't feel like walking them for a short pee I'll take them in the yard and throw tennis balls. Toby will chase balls before he pees until he is about to burst. Then he will go take a pee break with the ball in his mouth. Lucy looks on with disgust.

Sometimes Toby will decide to walk into another yard looking for other dog's tennis balls. All I have to do is bounce the tennis ball on the driveway and he will come running.
What makes a dog so ball crazy? Do you have to start them off as puppies? I don't think it is prey drive cause Toby doesn't chase the cats or anything except balls.

Wish I could answer that. Carly was 7 years old when we adopted her last August

I managed to lose two chuckit balls within a week of buying the darn thing. They bounced over my fence and despite the fact that they're bright orange, I can't find them! Picked up a few more today because my Callie is the first dog I've had (my own or my family's) that actually likes to fetch outside! Now, if she gets distracted by a rabbit (or an imaginary rabbit beneath the deck) then she won't bring it back, but most of the time I'm amazed that she does.

We have 4 of these jolly balls for our buddy, he loves them! They cost about $18-20 each, but it's money well spent for hours of fun.
The first video is ours.
