Driving home with the family and when we were a few blocks away, I see a small stray on a very busy street (Pico Blvd for those of you who know LA). I pulled over and told hubby to drive the rest of the way home while I tried to catch the dog.
I spot the dog as he's walking up behind a lady entering her apt complex's backyard. "Hey, can I follow you in there too? I'm trying to catch that dog!" I'm thinking this is great, he's now in an enclosed yard. She and another guy in the parking lot then tell me "Oh, he lives here. He likes to walk around sometimes."
At that point I was relieved that he was home so my anger was somewhat tempered...although I did tell them they shouldn't let him wander on busy streets (which is where I saw him) and that he should have an ID tag on him. "Oh yeah, we took that off for blah blah blah reason."
