how sad. Does she have to have surgery to remove the others? Are they dead? Never heard of shutting down the birthing process. Didn't even know that was possible.
Granddaughter was brief in the telling, but, this is what I understood... apparently, Lucy took the process to mean a bowel movement and was determined to hold it since she was inside the house. Some puppies drowned in the canal. No surgery. Seems like if granddaughter had known what was happening, she could have taken the dog outside and let her lay in the grass. I don't really know much about it.
