She is excited and I'm hoping to get to see them. The dog is a Nova Scotian Duck Tolling Retriever. Whew! I think I got it right. Her last litter was over a year ago, so, they are excited

Pictures!

Side note: there was a story out here in Chicago from maybe 6 months ago or so about a dog that went out into the lake and had to be rescued. The media labeled it as a golden retriever mix, but a lot of dog savvy readers not only noted that it was a Toller, but knew who he belonged to and his owner found him! It's not really a breed you see everyday.

Oh goodness! That is one of my favorite breeds. My Sawyer is a Toller mix. =)
Eevee, we tell people Sawyer is a golden mix because most people aren't too familiar with Tollers but his vet thinks that there is def some Toller in him.

FINALLY, got a photo and took the easy way out by not cutting it down to just Lucy, the soon to be mama in the middle. Copper is the dad, on the left and Molly is the other woman on the right. Sound like a menage a trois to me! The page no kudzu posted says the breed is very smart. The puppies are potty trained by the time they are 8 wks, which impresses me.

Rubi, you're going to have great-grandpuppies! That's a handsome breed. Hope you get to have fun with them--and maybe get a puppy for yourself?

They do look a lot like goldens except for the occasional white patch. Beautiful dogs!

Lucy shut down the birthing process and only 3 puppies (all girls) of 8 were born alive and healthy. The vet said Lucy apparently became confused when the first one arrived. I waited to hear word and didn't, so, knew something was wrong.
