Meh, elephants do it much better, to the point of understanding the game.

I love dogs but elephants are several levels higher on the intelligence scale.

One routine in soccer is keep-away, where 2-3 players pass the ball around while another tries to intercept it. Our kids would do to same routine with our GSD. He loved chasing after the ball and the kids got a workout. I considered taking him to soccer practice, but he was not one to give the ball back and would occasionally pop it.

Who cares about what an elephant can do better? This is a dog forum.

A friend of mine's Lab once ran onto a high school soccer field and dribbled the ball down the field to the hysterical laughter of the crowd. He was a very good soccer player.

my former dog used to do this with a ball; it's why we decided she was definitely a border collie-x

(BTW, no kudzu, I like your "status")
