And he's not even in his moult yet! That'll probably hit in March or so. But he was looking a little tufty along his back legs and neck, so I had at him for a few minutes. And this was the yield.

(I'm saving his fur so I can have it spun into yarn and ultimately woven into a scarf. He's 8, and hopefully I'll still have several more years with him, but I thought a scarf of his fur would be a nice keepsake. So this crop will go into the box with the rest of it.)
Oh WOW!!!

Start knitting now -- you can make another dog so Bandit can have a playmate!

Bandit is so handsome! The amount of fur they produce is incredible.
Here's Naala, this past summer, waiting patiently for her turn to be brushed. The pile of fur is what had just come from her brother, Jack (also a Siberian).

My new dog is a puppy mill rescue Lhasa Apso in pretty pathetic shape when we got her (Three green teeth that had to be pulled, kennel cough, underweight, matted hair that had to be clipped) and very sad. Anyway, within a week her tail was finally up and she was a lot more animated. For about two months after that, everyday was a new day, and she would show us something dynamic about her personality. A few nights ago I was watching the dog whisperer and I noticed she was sitting down in front of the TV looking up. For the rest of the show she sat on the floor and her eyes never left the screen. Totally hilarious, she loves animal planet.

Here are the before and afters:

Skinny, sad and scared of people.

Three months later, gained some weight and now has this huge personality.

Thanks, she is beautiful, entertaining, funny and loving. My other dogs accepted her, but are jealous that she gets all the attention now. She is also actually a great watch dog too, even though she looks like a total powder puff.
