Gotta love the Siberians! Yes, Miss Naala is definitely the dog boss. Abby, the pillow, was only 4 weeks old when she joined our family (I was only supposed to foster her until she was old enough to be adopted, but I fell in love after about 5 minutes) and she's never challenged Naala. Jack is too laid back to even care about being the alpha.
Here they are when they first met:

is jack named after jack london? i used to live with a husky who was named jack for that reason. he and my cat annie were good friends when she was a tiny kitten. he'd let her eat out of his food bowl; i wish i had pictures! i think he's the reason she's always been comfortable with dogs.
also, those pictures of abby and naala are adorable! all of them, but especially the puppy one!

Sadie has such a sweet face!
Jack is named after Jack London...I think . He was 3 when I adopted him and the name he had just didn't fit. It sounded kind of girly. "Jack" was always the name that came to mind for a male Siberian, and I think it's a result reading Jack London. Fortunately, the name suits the dog perfectly. My mom calls him "Jackie", but he lets her get away with it, since she's his grandma.
