Our local obedience school offers some cool classes, doggie surfing being one of them. I signed up MB and he had his first lesson today. I figured I need to get him out there, because every time we'd go to the beach and there was a surfer with a board, he'd run up to them and try to get on! He loves to swim and retrieve toys in the ocean and pool, loves to go paddleboarding and kayaking with me and just enjoys the water so we figured this is his sport. He had a blast! The instructor was awesome and couldn't believe how quickly he took to it! Even when we'd stop to rest, he would sit on the board and wait until we got out there again! I guess he takes after mama and is a surfer too! I'm so proud of my boy, he drew quite the crowd and even had fellow surfers cheering for him! We're going to buy him his very own softboard this week, since he can't use my fiberglass one.

When it was over and she took the board away, he followed her til she put it down. He then sat on it and refused to move! PC likes the water, but sadly is not the surfing type.

In this house, fair is fair. Since MB got to go surfing, alone, PC got a beach trip all to himself too today. It's been a while since he's had a PC-mama day so he thoroughly enjoyed not having to share his mama! Just look at these smiles!
