Your doggie needs a sweater perhaps, just for the trip out, remove sweater when coming back inside.
I put one on mine when it's really cold and he lets me know that he does not like wearing the sweater inside by pulling a houdini out of straight jacket!

i got him one! but when i put it on him, he goes all comatose on me. he'll sit and stare at me forever till i take it off him, and wont move a muscle lol. i tried it. he'll have none of it lol.
