Wowza does Honey have a thick coat! We had one chow, nowhere near that thick, beautiful. I actually preferred their shedding over my dobies. My chows always tended to be like tumbleweeds, much easier to pick up.

She does have a lot of hair, and it tends to find it's way on all my clothes, but it's honestly not that bad. They have a heavy shed twice a year when the weather turns warm or cold for the season, and the rest of the year it's quite manageable. She gets groomed every other month, and I brush her every once in awhile but that's about it. She's not that high maintenance. Plus it's hard to say no to her face, so we don't mind a little bit of hair around the house.
I love dog threads though, love everyone's pictures!

Twitch
Frenchie (r) & Chowder (l)
Twitch is a pure bred mini-aussie I acquired by chance. My brother knows the breeder, and according to him, his coloring wasn't "correct" so he was on sale. I guess, but whatever. Doesn't matter now, I just love the little booger.
Frenchie (the little orange mutt) was found as a stray that no one claimed. Probably because she was pregnant -- with Chowder and six(!) other pups. Poor girl was wide as she was long. Kept Chowder out of the litter and the two were joined by Twitch about five years later. they make a great trio.
