LOL! Awesome series of shots! I <3 when I have the time to sit and be patient for nature to take its course like this! Thanks for sharing.

So, Angel sleeps on stones/gravel? That doesn't look too comfortable. LOL! And her face in the last shot...

Lol Oh yes, our driveway is rocks/gravel and she gets out there in the sun and sleeps. I have to be out there for her to sleep or otherwise she'll sneak off and under our fence to explore our neighborhood. lol But yes, she naps out there and usually shes on her back. Now THAT would have been funny if the bird landed on her tummy. But this was so awesome. I laughed so hard afterwards.

Those pictures are terrific! Angel must have been sleeping pretty soundly. I love that you caught such good images of the bird too!

Great set of pictures! I've heard certain types of birds are known for stealing fur or hair (even human!) for their nests but I never saw one in action before. When I had longer haired dogs (especially my chow chow mix), I'd put the fur outside after brushing them in spring and early summer. It was fun to see the birds collecting it.

OMG! Oh. My. GAWD!

How freakin' awesome! And how freakin' awesome that you got photos of it.

Angel is clearly that... an angel. Artie would have eaten that bird in a nanosecond.

ETA: Angel's expression in the last picture is fabulous, but the bird's expression in that same photo is PRICELESS, as if the bird was all, "Rut ruh! I woke my nest supply store!"
