Like how she (may be a he, I can't quite see all the way under and its pretty stocky) has more white on one side than the other.
She was a well defined little girl. Unfortunately she got hit with some weird autoimmune issue that caused her retinas to detach. She only has partial vision in the one eye. To keep the matter at bay she is on some serious meds and consequently she has ballooned in weight. And we only feed her 2 cups a day.
Nice looking basenji you have there under the covers! It is true they are like heat seeking missles!

She still looks good, IMO. Eye issues are the worst. Can get out of hand so quickly. One of ours had a corneal ulcer last fall and almost lost the eye.

Yeah, only dogs I have ever seen that will lay outside in the sun if its 32 or 102 outside.
I had the grill going one time on a summer day and what do I find, but a crazy Basenji sitting right under it.
Zeusy worked hard on preparing a spot on the bed (notice how the cover is bunched up, just the way he likes it), he was just about to lay down when Cassie swooped in and curled up. Zeus was stunned! He sat down and stared at her than yelled at her to no avail, so he prepared another spot right next to her.

Poor Zeus... and after all that work getting the blanket just right!
Beau's been back at dog camp since last summer. He was a rescue dog and his insecurity made him a bit of a problem: no training, would avoid making eye contact, and was fixated on mounting a few of the other guys. Even my boss expressed frustration with him. When we started splitting the dogs in groups, I'd take him with other rowdy dogs to get him to see that he can play constructively, and I could see yesterday how it's been paying off; he's not mounting nearly as much, and he even played around with Brodie, the most macho lab there, who used to dislike him.
