Sometimes I pick her up in my arm. My hand cups her bottom and her front legs brace against me arm as she puts her head up under my chin so I can rub her belly.

Awesome.

I really dread even thinking that some day - hopefully many years from now - she won't be there.

Don't waste every day worrying about this. Instead, enjoy every day with her and make the most of it.
