I have a 2 yo shelter dog who prances when she walks fast. I have only seen 1 other dog do that and it was a boxer.

I was told she was part boxer but others think she looks more like a pit mix.

I have seen several breeds prance, Shelties, Shih Tzus, and a couple of others. Dont think its specific to Boxers only. And I agree with cleosmom, she definitely looks part hound.

i have a half red-dobie and half hound and she prances very noticably when walking fast. She makes walking fast and running look so graceful and easy, almost like shes bouncing effortlessly. I just noticed the other day when paying really good attention how the order of her feet move. It goes right-front then left-back then left-front then right-back...its so strange but kinda cool, but you have to watch very closely to notice it. Sometimes she prances so much its like her back legs are going slightly higher than her center of gravity lol its so cute

My girlfiend's adorable Papillon floats along the floor. I'm never been one to tiny dogs, but I fell inlove with this papillon puppy. She's so adorable when she walks!

Guess my other dogs are just not graceful..especially the wiem, she lumbers..no grace at all.

Skeeter looks like the horses when they prance in the ring.

Teddie(shih tzu) prances and my past Schnauzer did the same thing.

There are many dogs that prance; I don't think it's breed specific.

GSDs are known for prancing. If you watch any dog show, pay attention LOL
A lot of larger breeds prance, it's quiet cute!!
