Each day that I make it home safe from work to my little guy is a happy day! It's just me and him and sometimes I worry that something will happen to me before I get home and he will be left all alone! Sometimes I have such anxiety about this that when I get home I am sooooo relieved and happy to see him.

I did give emergency contact numbers to my coworkers and landlord, but the main person to contact is my mom who is listed as numero uno as per her insistence even though she is 1000 miles away in NYC as the person he will go to if anything happens to me.

Thanks for listening...just had to get that off my chest...so happy to have made it home safely!

Maybe you could put a note in your wallet by your drivers license, saying that you have a dog alone at home and giving the LL's number, or another person nearby who would help your dog. Then if god forbid paramedics were checking your identity they would know to contact that person.
Oh, and your boy is precious!

I love dogs....BUT if it came down to tossing a thousand dogs into the sea to save on human child....the dogs will have to go.

Dogs are comfortable being dogs. It stresses them out when we try to make them human.,

I, too, worry about what would happen to my dog if something happened to me. My landlady knows about my emergency provisions, but I'm honestly not sure if she's smart enough to follow through.

I like the idea of clipping instructions to the driver's license.
