For goodness sakes...it's been in the 90's here in FL. Why would someone leave their dog in the car while they go to a doctor appointment? Poor dog.

The vet said it was in the morning and it was 'only' for 15 minutes. My guess, they really didn't think it would get that hot so quickly.

This infuriates me. I have seen this in the past at grocery stores. I have no problem if they leave the car running with some a/c on. but I have seen folks leave their pets locked up with the window just cracked and temps around 80F I kept telling myself to call the police to report it because I was terrified they would leave it out there for an hour, luckily they came out within a few minutes. I told myself next time to get involved, I am a huge dog lover and consider mine part of my family, it just pisses me off to see anyone abuse them.

I have broken 2 car windows my self to get dogs out of cars that were overheated one time I called the police they broke the window of a car too. I don't care what anyone says I will go right over there with my crow bar and break the window. If you ever see this you call the police don't wait and be a coward. The one time I saw 3 people standing their watching a dog panting like crazy in 100 degree heat cowards watching. I walked right past them and bashed the windows in and got that dog out gave him some water. When the people came out, "white trash as I would describe them" My crow bar almost got used again on their heads. Police were called they were arrested for felony animal cruelty.
