I did not realize killing a police dog was considered killing a police officer but it seems only fair. The dogs have received thousands of dollars worth of training and are not expendable. This is a sad story all the way around. But will spending 23 years in prison rehab him? I doubt it.

Im glad he got time, but it seems odd that police can shoot your dog for seemingly ****s and giggles and get away with it.

Funny. If the police had shot the teen he would have got 23 days of paid administrative leave (and only if the department botched the cover-up).

Yet a cop can shoot a citizens dog after the cop illegally trespassed into the dogs yard and get PTO.
