Usually, I like your posts but find your statement quite insulting to most of the LE's in this country. Yes, there are some who will shoot a dog for no reason, just like there are SOME people who train their dog to attack for no reason.

Yes, I still remember that idiot policeman who entered a fenced and gated-in private yard looking for a missing girl (who was later found sleeping in her own home basement!) and shot the poor weimaraner who was in the yard because he "felt threatened".
I remember many incidents where police and civilians have shot dogs for no apparent reason. The one you mentioned was in SLC about a year ago. However, in all my years, I never shot a dog. shot a few owners.
All my post was trying to say was that you cannot imply ALL dogs like this will be shot because ALL cops shoot dogs. Very simple fact.

I certainly did not mean to imply that at all. I go out of my way to share stories about compassionate police officers and pictures which show that compassion. And there are many stories about such police officers. However, the stories and pictures of police taking the lives of innocent dogs leaves us all with negative feelings and fear.
