OP, don't let people tell you it's something you're doing wrong. It's not. It's the way many dogs are, like some dogs love poop and snack on it. Those dogs are not nutritionally deficient. They just like poop. You can't change the digging (at least, not that me and thousands of GD owners have found). It's like telling a woman not to like shoes. I, and most other shoe loving women, are incapable of doing that
