My sister owns one and I DO NOT find it cute. Even for a
a small dog. They seem hard headed too. Pee anytime
they want ect.

Pomeranians, Chihuahuas and practically every other
small breed I like but there is just something about
Yorkies and small terriers in general that I just hate.

Maybe it's their innocent demeanor when they have
used the bathroom where they were not supposed to
after you witness the scene.

Yorkies are toy-sized terriers; not lapdogs. They are strong-willed and smart and can and will boss other dogs and people around if not trained right.

I've heard that tiny/small dogs may not housebreak as easily as larger ones, at least in some cases.

I haven't known any Yorkies at close hand so I can't comment on their personality. Many toy breeds seem to be difficult to train.

The thing about dogs is there are so many breeds, sizes, shapes, etc. that it's hard to say you admire them all equally, but there is something for everyone. I will not get specific about which breeds I find particularly unattractive, but just suffice it to say I prefer large, short-haired dogs with "presence," such as Dobermans, Rottweilers, Weimaraners, etc.

And I find it pathetic that many breeds have been bred to be so deformed that they actually have physical problems due to their structure. I like dogs, whatever their size, to have a "classic dog" build without a flattened muzzle, dwarf legs, pop eyes, and so forth.

Kind of like saying there is no such thing as an ugly person. Very noble and tactful, but not strictly true. Have you seen the "Ugly Dog Contest" winners?

They do not for a fact housebreak as easily. Their
tiny size and waste makes it hard to find any potential
mess they may leave behind. Especially in a big home.

I'm happy to say that I never met a breed of dog I "hated."

I think they are very cute, but I prefer to have large dogs - labs, goldens, etc.

I'd be afraid of stepping on or tripping over the little balls of fluff.

With the big guys, I can also take them on walks for miles and miles and they would not have to be carried. I see other dog owners carrying their little ones for parts of their walks....

Maybe you don't like your sisters dog cause she Failed as a owner. I hate dogs that potty everywhere, are Not trained to listen bark all the time or whine. BUT I realize its not the Dog But the OWNER!
