I never thought of it that way.

We usually drop our dogs off at the pet resort the night before we go away. It is a big relief. And we totally chill out. But everyone wants in on the ride to pick them up.

I totally get what you are saying. I've done the early drop off or late pick up after vacations and I cannot sleep without my dogs in the house. I feel anxious about my safety and then I feel guilty they aren't home with us. Crazy!
