Shi-tzu mixed with bichon (vet, breeder, neutering, children)

My new puppy, is a shi-tzu mixed with bichon. It is three- months' old, and a male. Some people think i should neuter it at four months, the person who sold it to me, who is a breeder that i chose because she breeds them at her home, with her children, told me between six and seven months, but people who have had this mixed breed say that it will pick-up its leg, if i wait that long.

Would appreciate hearing other opinions......thanking you in advance.

The longer you wait, the more you risk it lifting its leg and marking. If it were me I'd neuter it at 4 months.

Do what your vet advises... and it's gonna lift its leg anyway.

Actually neutering too soon can impact normal growth in an animal. You may want to research the breed(s) to see what is recommended. Generally speaking neutering a German shorthaired pointer too soon can result in an oddly leggy and less robust frame, which can impair an animal for field work.

My male GSP is almost 2.5 yrs old and he has never marked inside the house.. Mainly because I am the big man of the house, and he knows it.
