You know how when you take pup to vet and they give them a shot, but tell you to come back in few weeks for the booster? Well I missed our vet visit and pup was suppossed to get the booster. We are going to call mon. to reschedule. But what exactly is the booster and will pup get sick w/o it on day he was suppose to get it?

No he shouldn't get sick. Any puppy vaccination schedule is a guess at best so missing by a few days won't matter. This will explain things nicely for you: http://www.abrl.org/files/vaccinesWDJ0808.pdf
I have 2 dogs and 6 cats...one of which is 22 years old.
NONE have had any shots.
Your puppy won't get sick if he misses his booster....my guess is he'll be healthier without it.
You and your animals have been extraordinarily fortunate.
Even understanding the basics of naturally acquired immunity I find this frighteningly risky and definitely NOT something I would recommend anyone doing.
I urge everyone to read up on the Lepto vaccine. It killed my 9 year old yellow lab. My other lab get a titer check for it. He won't have it if it's not needed. There is a lot of controversy over this one.
Rabies doesn't scare me, I've had healthy animals all my life.
