Growing up we would just bring new a dog home too and there was no real introduction and we never had any problems with any of the dogs getting along. I was the kid that strays tended to follow home and we would just put them in the backyard with our dogs until we found the owner or found them a home and once again we never had any issues. I hate to say this but back then dogs were allowed to be dogs and did not have owners micromanaging everything they did and expecting them to behave like human kids. We humans have created so many of the behavioral issues that are now so common in dogs
