My dogs have life vests that look just like that, most likely the same brand. It's good to know that they work so well.

We don't go out to sea, but the dogs still wear their life vest anytime they are on the boat. As do I, because several boaters drown in my area every year because they won't wear their life vest. I suppose they think they will grab it and put it on if they need it. At the point that you need it, it is too late.

The owner who loved the dog enough to keep him in a life vest had to have been absolutely frantic when the dog was lost. You are out there with no place to refuel, so your time to search is limited.

No Kudzu, thanks for my morning tear jerking story. Our dog's have the same type of life vest. Thank goodness they work!

NK, another great story! Your posts have brought me to tears more times than I can count.

The little guy looked pooped out laying in the rescuer's lap. Sweet story all around.
