One day per dog. Definitely not justice for the dogs nor their families. iirc, one of the people responsible for the massacre is the son or SIL of a local politician. I hope leniency wasn't extended due to the family connection.
I hadn't heard of this story. My heart aches to the very core whenever I do hear of animals who lose their lives due to negligence or abuse; and the lack of justice in the aftermath is just incomprehensible. I cannot even begin to imagine if my dog suffered such a fate...all I know is that I'd be overwhelmed with grief and blaming myself for leaving him with someone who would do this - for the rest of my life. May the owners of those poor animals find some sort of solace, somehow.
It was horrible. The dog owners entrusted this facility to care for their beloved pets and instead their dogs suffered horrific deaths. Every dog owner's nightmare when they have to leave their dog boarding.
