I'm guessing an Italian breed? Maybe a Bracco Italiano?
Wow, I just looked this up and it's a dead ringer. Waiting for OP to confirm.

This is what I was gonna say, a Bracco.

Whatever he is, he's gorgeous!

We have a winner. Pensive is a Bracco Italiano, an ancient bird dog breed. There are records of the breed as old as 5th century BC. The Bracco is a gaited breed with a distinctive trot that is the natural way for the dogs to move.

I was expecting maybe 50 pounds, but I got there and her dam is 80 pounds, maybe more. Her sire is supposed to be just as big. Pensive weighed 16 pounds when I picked her up and 2 weeks later when she went to the vet for a vaccination, she weighed 25.5 pounds.

She could walk underneath Wyatt McRiot when she arrived home and now she is only an inch shorter and she can tow him across the floor when they play tug. I think that Wyatt has met his match. She's now 14 weeks old.

Some of her littermates. That's Pensive biting the leg.

I would think she's a Bracco Italiano. But whatever she is, she's adorable.

Adorable! I have never heard of her breed....I was going to guess Bassett. Lots of character in that face. Too cute!
