AS many who've read any of my posts know: I am the proud owner/friend to my 3 chihuahuas. Well, we ended up with the worst neighbors..ever..!! They throw loud pool parties at 3 am and they allow their rottweiler to bark and growl, while hanging his big head over the wall, at my poor chihuahuas.

I can't even let my dogs into my own backyard without having to fear that their dog will jump the wall and kill my dogs... Luckily we are moving in a few months!!

What would anyone do if this was you?

Have you talked to the neighbor? Do they know their dog does that? If he's only doing it when they're inside or not home, then they may have no idea their dog is doing it.

Yes, we have talked to them about it..and I have loudly announced, while in backyard, that I really would hate to have to shoot that dog if he hopped the wall and went for one of my chihuahuas..

The only way to stop this is move the dog or, make the wall higher.......and it is half YOUR wall.

I doubt if the dog will come over the wall unless they put something near the wall for him/her to jump on.

Big clay planters on top of the wall should help alot. If you shoot the dog I hope they prosecute you to the full extent of the law. But go ahead and at least file complaints with the local police when parties or dogs disturb your world....that makes sense.

They cant prosecute me if their dog jumps into my yard and kills my dog.. This is Arizona and I can also shoot a person if they come into my yard and try to kill me..

You could also run an electric fence wire for cattle across your part.

He will keep his nose back then.

The ground is about 2 feet higher on their side of the wall

I was wondering about the electric fence--never had one..I definitely wouldn't want to hurt any cats that may stroll on the wall though, so I'll have to look into that...

It will not hurt them....it is not a steady flow of current.

Check at feed stores.
