Try the D-Mannose. It works FAR better than any antibiotics (or anything else) for UTIs. You can buy it at health food stores, Whole Foods (but is more expensive) or Amazon.

I've even used it for myself and it is very effective. In fact, its the goto for UTIs in Europe. Oddly enough, most US doctors have never heard of it and stick to antibiotics.

Thanks for the tip. Is that something's you use for the UTI itself or for prevention?

Yes, for both questions.

I had a severe case of UTI several years ago and initially went the cranberry route. After a few days of that I looked at the chemical composition of the cranberry itself thinking that some ingredient of it was what was most effective for UTI. Looking more, I ran into the D-Manoose. It turns out to be many times more powerful than anything else that I found. So I tried it. And it works much better than antibiotics.

And it is safe for dogs as well.
