Today I decided I am ready to get another Great Pyr. Without going into detail, this time I don't want a rescue. I want a puppy.
I am willing to drive to the top of the state, even into southern Ga. or Ala., but no further due to time constraints and a new job. I don't want him flying., (I want to meet with the pups several times, and review the place they are living)

I found this one from March of last year. She looks like it's a farm environment, and no puppy mill stuff.Thunder Bay Ranch - Myotonic Meat Goats and Great Pyrenees

Does anyone know of any reputable breeders here in my state? If I could get an opinion from some of my other buddies here, that I know love dogs, it would mean a lot to me.

You might specify whether you want a show type or a working livestock guardian

Great Pyrenees Club of America - Breeder Referral

I'd look at breeders on the link above. They belong to the national breed club. It's where I'd start if I was looking.

Some rescues have puppies, so I wouldn't rule a rescue out just because you want a pup.

Good luck!

I agree with Rowan123. Some rescues do have pups. Don't rule them out.

This! The parent club is the best place to start.

Thank you everyone. I will look into your links.
Oregon, the dog will be more of a pet, and will live with kitties. He will have a fenced in 1 1/2 acres, and someone with him all day long.
The dog will stay indoors except for brief walks in summer, and go outside much more in our cooler months. I'm sure that will be his own choice, as that is what my Leo (pyr I lost a few months back) did. Leo slept under AC almost all day in summers.

And special thanks to SimplePeace. I am looking into those links too

The breeders listed from the parent club are really the best place to start for pet quality too.

Call Kerry Kern Woods in Ellensburg Washington and ask her for reputable breeder in your area. Or have pup flown from her farm.
