Dogs keep us healthy in more ways than we knew. (and cats too)

Sort of goes along with a few articles I have seen about kids being inside all day long vs. going out and rolling in the dirt. I guess when younger a kid will develop an immunity to some deceases but they need to get out and roll in it to get the immunity (or something like that).

But there is no telling what dogs will track in that is attached to their paws, coats, etc. But so far it has not killed me.

I was born into a doggy household, which might explain why I didn't have allergies until my late 20's (and that allergy, to dust/dust mites and feathers, seems to have gone away, though I know might have hay fever). I think growing up with dogs and/or cats is a wonderful thing for kids; and having pets as adults is good too.

I'd heard this before and makes sense to me. Love my dogs either way of course.
