I just really don't like him... or dogs in general... but my bf had the dog before he met me. I have never owned a dog and if I were still single, I would never ever get one.

He eats everything. He sh*ts everywhere. I hate waking up early to walk his dumb *****. He never stops barking. Barks all night long and during the day.

Plus we travel a lot and it's a pain to have to always find someone to watch him.

I'm just really not a dog person. Worse is that I pretend to like him for my bf's sake. I REALLY do not like dogs.
Literally LOL

Also your name: jdawg...Haha

Yeah, I misread the original post and didn't realize she was till with him. Talking to the BF about this is the first step.

The BF may or may not say something like Love Me, Love My Dog. But it sounds like he is dumping all the dog care work on her. She needs to tell him he has to take care of his own dog, or Choose Me Or The Dog. If he chooses the dog, NO LOSS for her! The slacker BF and the badly behaved dog gone...so saaaaaaad.

The gf needs to see that if he "loves his dog".. and that's how he takes care of it...
It speaks volumes as to how he'll treat the gf

despicable. tell your bf you've been lying to him and that you HATE his dog.

I hope he leaves you and takes good care of the poor dog.

this is the worst thing ever - to direct HATRED towards an innocent animal.

I feel so sad for the dog.

please stay away from the dog from now on.

hope your bf finds someone kind to share his life with.

Excellent point. I'm guessing he would dump childcare on her too.

Yes, but because you're pretending to be someone you're not, not because you hate the dog.

Fess up to your boyfriend so he can find someone who loves dogs. The dog deserves that too.

Well, if the boyfriend was a good dog owner, perhaps. But if the dog just barks all day long, he's got a pretty crappy owner. I'd say the OP and her BF are well-suited to each other. The dog needs a new home.
