I've had 5 dogs.

Pitt--miniature pincher mix, was my first pup. I believe I got her when I was about 6. She was a great girl but had separation anxiety and we lived in an apartment. So she ended up going to live with my grandmother who had a lot of space and other dogs. She lived a long happy life there and I visited her often. She died of old age when she was about 16 years old.

Sugar--miniature poodle. I got her when I was 10. She was the devil dog for most of her life as she was very grumpy and only liked me and my dad but she was spoiled and had a happy life until she got cancer. She died at 12 from cancer.

Skippy--Skip was technically my brother's dog but he took to me and we bonded. He was a doxie. The sweetest boy. He passed away about 6 months after our cat passed away. He was about 11 or 12 when he passed, which is not that old for doxies but I really do think he died of a broken heart. I miss him dearly.

The 3 above were my childhood into my 20s.

I adopted Sawyer, a retriever mix about 6 and a half years ago. He's the light of my life. He's 7 and he's not allowed to die, ever. =)

I adopted Freckles almost 2 years ago. She's my scared of life border collie mix goofball. I wish more people got to see her wonderful personality but we are working on that. Her confidence is growing every day.

6 of the most precious beings God has ever created. Once my 2 current babies cross over I doubt that I will ever own another dog as long as I live.

My big boy is 13 and just the absolute love of my life. He is getting a little feeble in his old age but will still act like a pup when I encourage him, it takes a lot out of him, though.

My 'neurotic and vicious' rescued girl is just the most precious and sweetest little thing on earth. Even a dog that has been starved and abused can return to life with love.

I'm 41.
Had 1 dog from age 3-15.
Then I could not have one till I was 25 (bc of school).
Since then 3 more (1 died in 2012, 1 is 9, and 1 is 4).

4.

Not enough.
