My dad never had his dog spade and his dog ended up having puppies but not sure what his dog was bred to. I believe it got pregnant by a laborator retriever. There was only one brown puppy
Plus is his dog a border collie or Australian shepherd? He bought it from a breeder.
The last photo is the mother.

Thank you

Mom looks like a border collie. Pup's dad could be anything; Labrador is as good a guess as any.

Is your father going to get his dog spayed now? He needs to, before there's another unwanted litter produced.

Yes he is going to get her spayed soon. He's 85. It's just a complicated situation. Thanks for answering.

My best guess is that it is a little mongrel. Mom might possibly be Border Collie or part Border collie and daddy was a traveling man. Very good chance that the father was a mixed breed, too.

What do the rest of the puppies look like if that is the only brown one. There is also a good chance that dad was a pitbull or pitbull mix because that seems to be what wanders loose in most neighborhoods.

Yep, mongrel. And having had high quality purebreds AND mongrels, I'll take the mongrel. S/he's a sweetie. Wish it were mine.

They just came from hanging out near the river. My dad claims his dogs are Australian shepherds. The black and white one is the mother who had the litter. The brown one is also a female.

Didn't feel like going into the pen because they bite and it's hard to get out

The puppy appears to have some lab mixed in with 'whatever'.
