you guys remember the box of puppies I found right ? I think they are pure gsds now because all of them including my friend annies pup are all showing signs of protection when someone comes near me . Annie mentioned the same thing ...im wondering if this is normal since they are about 15 weeks now a guess mind you not accurate . annie has the sister of my male and whenever they get together and go to play he is definitely the top dog so to speak ... he has already been neutered . the lady at the humane society was telling me that maybe I should wait to have him neutered cause she had been reading some studies that gsds should not be fixed before a year . No there was no way I was waiting til he was a year old to get that done . No I don't need that kind of trouble since most of my neighbors all have their dogs fixed . I also wanted to add that I have not had a gsd in quite a while so I guess you do forget some things LOL .

If he's starting to show his protective instinct, it's time for you to teach him when you say 'no' or 'it's ok' or whatever command you choose to stop protecting.

I'm glad he's got a good home, outside the box.

You absolutely need to get him into a puppy class and start socializing ASAP. If he's protective now it will only get worse as he gets older.

Glad the bear didn't decide to kill her.

We had an Ex-Cop Dog trainer in my area decades ago. Funny thing was any dog with Potential as a Guard dog Vanished! Found out later that He Was the Thief! Steal them & took them to another area Sold them as Trained Guard Dogs! Course they figured it out since he was the dogs trainer... they listened to him.

No Joke PLEASE Check out Trainers Background!
