So I'm watching my friend's super-annoying cattle dog puppy. She is appropriately bratty for her age, but I have been able to refrain from strangling her.

In any case, she has this weird habit where she plunges her face into the water bowl and drinks from the bottom of the bowl. I have never seen anything like it. Is this something my friend should be concerned about? I thought she would get over it as she got older, but she still does it. It sounds like she's drowning every time she takes a drink and she splashes water everywhere.

Anyone see this before?

You sure it's just water in there? I've only seen this sort of behavior at teenage drinking parties!

My cattle dog liked to walk in water and blow bubbles with her nose when she was a puppy. She did lap in between and often stomped both her feet into the bucket of drinking water and splashed it out, just to be as annoying as possible.

Oh, I've had several dogs that liked to put their front half in the water bucket when drinking. The putting her head at the bottom of the bowl to drink is the new part.

But yeah, I do get the vibe that she's just trying to be as annoying as possible, lol.

Nope, never heard of that one before. Dogs have their quirks just like people. She sounds like quite a personality.
