The dead dog in the photo to me looks like some kind of wire-haired dachshund mix with possibly some small-breed terrier. I'm not seeing any pit bull.
If these dogs were all 40 lbs and under but there were SIX of them, that's almost 240 pounds of dogs. They probably went for her legs and she fell over and then they swarmed her. It would have taken a while and been very noisy - I'm wondering how it was that no one came to her aid.
They were NOT Dachshunds, they were a pit bull and Pit mixes (although possibly mixed with Dachshund). There are pictures of the dead dogs.
I didn't see any pictures.

The only pic I saw was Suzy's and that looked nothing like a pit.
The link of the pit weiner dog mix looking for a home is weird looking - do not like.

Does anyone have a pic of the actual dogs (not links describing what pit dachshunds might look like) that killed the woman.
I'll say this. The one pic of the dead dog looks enough like a wire haired standard dachshund, that I'll give them that. That one could certainly honestly be described as a wire haired dachshund.

You have to click a link in the article to see the pics of the deceased dogs. One is CLEARLY a pit bull, and another is almost certainly a pit bull.
There is one little shaggy dog, bottom right, that is probably the one in the pic that was shot by the deputy. That one, I'll give them, is a dachshund.
The article accounts for why the shelter employee deliberately misidentifies the dog's breeds.
