I pull my Advantix up in a syringe to give separate doses. But I noticed it has some transparent clumps floating around in it.

Does anyone know if this is normal?

I don't know but I don't think I'd risk it. Dogs have been burned by bad flea meds. You could always buy a fresh package and see if it looks like the one you have.

No... normal is to open the correct size single use container and apply it.

Here is a picture for future reference. I ordered some new. I will find out of it contains the same "clumps".

No way to upload pictures?

We stopped using Advantix on our dogs over a year ago. We walk them a lot and in the country, and they LOVE to run in the brush, so we do encounter lots of ticks. We noticed Advantix' effectiveness dropped to almost nothing and we were constantly removing live ticks from the dogs after they had attached. After a lot of research we switched from Advantix to Vectra 3D and it REALLY WORKS!! We still find ticks occasionally but they are either dead without even biting the dogs or they just hit the dog and are on top of their fur and we catch it quick. Yes Vectra 3D is a little more expensive but well worth it!!

FWIW we used Advantix for many, many years on past dogs as well. Seems they went to he11 in a handbasket a couple of years ago!
